In the diagrams, *classes* are represented as rectangles. Complex constructs are represented as circular nodes. Relationships (*properties*) between entities are represented as *arrows*.

*Arrows* are additionally used to represent some RDF, RDF-S and OWL constructs, more precisely:

• *Plain arrows* with white triangles represent the *rdfs:subClassOf* relation between two classes. The origin of the arrow shall be considered as the subclass of the entity at the destination of the arrow.
|
|
|
|
|
|
• *Dashed arrows* accompanied by the expression *rdf:type* are used to indicate that the *individual* at the origin of the arrow is an *instance* of the *class* placed at the end of the arrow. |
