The recommender is using ENTSO-E TP data source to shape the consumption shift recommendations for consumers (see Figure below). It is constructing hourly recommendations for the next day at 18:00 UTC every day for every EU country. The hourly recommendations are an extended traffic light indicating if, on a national level, consumption needs to increase, decrease or no recommendation is provided. This level recommendation can be further refined by other services/stakeholders/energy app integrators to include more contextual insights, better granularity grid needs and information from individual consumers.

## Energy App Demonstrators
The project will demonstrate CERF as ecosystem for building energy app demonstrators with the support of the Dutch, Italian, Greek and Portuguese pilots. All these pilots already feature interoperable ecosystems, end the energy app demonstrators will be built upon these existing systems. The Figure below showcases high level flow of information in a typical energy app demonstrators. The grid needs are communicated through a set of interoperable services towards the energy app backend. The recommendations are shaped along the way and finally communicated to the consumers through an engaging UI (mobile app or web app). In all four energy app demonstrators the logic is the same as depicted in the figure, but the steps and intermediary services differ. The common components in all cases are the key enablers presented in this deliverable (recommender and public data sources) as well as the SIF and DSOi.

The Portuguese pilot will provide consumption recommendations through the Energy Application which will be administrated by the partner INESC TEC. The E-REDES will provide DSO level information and signals through DSO interface. The recommendations will be performed based on information collected from DSO Interface and ENTSO-E TP based interoperable recommender service.
